Most states have something they call a "certificate of Relief" It can be granted by a judge and depending on the crime and length of time without further incident, generally is. Then when you background comes back, you can provide your potential employer with that certificate and they can not discriminate, or not hire you for that reason alone. However, it is very difficult to prove why someone does not hire you if you have more than one resume in hand. Good Luck!
