How can they take away my certification for a year?
My name is Sherry and I taught school in Balto Co for the 2015-2016 school year. It was not a good experience for me and the principal and my immediate supervisor said they would do anything they could to help me find another job. I accepted a position on August 11 and sent in my official notice. Human resources is saying that they are going to have my teaching certification suspended???? I did not do anything wrong. How can they do this?

They filed a documen against you you need to due some research to find out

Put them on blast! Let the superintendent know that if he doesn't try to do something when u did nothing wrong that u will get the news involved! Maybe he will hear u then! Just be proactive and dont be all talk! Ask legal consultation what should u do.

Maybe u can speak to the superintendent of schools?

If I were u I would be very proactive to speak to someone in legal aide or ask for a free consultation with a law firm. Sense the year didn't go too well it seems like they r trying to ENSURE that u never ever teach again.

That doesn't sound right. Have you responded to them asking for clarification?
If everyone agreed it was not a good fit at that school then there is no reason to threaten you with certification suspension.
I would ask your peers if they have ever heard of such a thing, then contact the school directly to see if there is a misunderstanding, and if so, clear it up.

If you really didn't do anything wrong besides give your resignation, then human resources is really petty.
You need a labor attorney to help you with your case. you can also get help from the state labor board.
