I called my local Walmart store to see if they were hiring and was told I'm not to sure u can always come in and Apply I told this person I was disabled the lady I was speaking with pause for a min then told me no Walmart isn't hiring but I should call the other Walmart maybe I'll have better luck there I said but u said ur not sure are u a manager she replies with no am not I asked to speak with one so I can find out she just hung up on me so I tried to call back bc it may have been a dropped call or something but no one ever picked up it's just rings and rings I don't think I'll look for work at Walmart after all
So sorry this happened to you. I know for a fact they hire the disabled, I would go in there and demand to see the store Manager as well as call their Corporate HR Manager. Walmart...NOT COOL!
Wal-Mart does hire disabled people. She was wrong and knew it so she probably hung up.

In the future Todd Wilkinson there is no need to disclose that on the phone or in person. Just apply online or in the store and show your best self! Lead with the positives! She should not have treated you in that manner however. Always assume they are hiring and go in there with a great attitude!
