People deserve a second chance
Several years ago I got into some trouble. It's been years since all this happen. I'm a very hard worker and have experience in several things. No one wants to give someone a chance.

Hi Leanne Snipes , I'm really so sorry to hear you're having so many challenges finding an opportunity to earn a living due to past mistakes. You're right! We should have more opportunities in place for people who merit a second chance opportunity.
The needle has been slowly moving towards correcting this concerning national issue with programs like the Federal Bonding Program and local state passage of Ban the Box hiring laws but there's still a lot more work to do in order to level the playing field. In the meantime, there are some "out of the box" job search strategies you can try to land a decent job.
Forget about the conventional job search strategies for a moment because those won’t help you get your foot in the front door. You need explore new method to get your foot in the back door of what will eventually becoming a solid career opportunity.
Consider other unusual tactics like the one Olin Brown describes he used in his post I was afraid and discouraged. Goodwill programs like Jobs On the Outside and other local events like the Southern Coalition for Social Justice “Shop for Second Chances” Day in NC are just a few of the non-profit employment training and job placement programs that can help you land into the right job opportunity.
Online applications are okay but personal walk-in applications are more effective. Hiring managers often hesitate if they can’t put a face to a name. Build yourself a solid resume and get out there in front of hiring managers where you can. Look for opportunities in Retail, Sales (Car Sales is a great industry if you enjoy service and sales), Restaurant, and Construction just to name a few.
If you need help creating an optimized resume that’s going to get you results then visit the CareerOneStop.org to find a local Career Resource center and call the office to set up a FREE one on one professional career consultation. The career counselor at those centers are trained to help all level and personal background job seekers prepare the up to date tools needed to find jobs jobs in today’s employment community. An hour of your time invested in these centers will instantly change your job search results. These centers also partner with local employers to host hiring events so please make sure you ask the counselors about upcoming events.
I’m also going to tag a small team of [Jobcase Organizers](https://www.jobcase.com/profiles/cygpTLXR4d7oOI4n-oPkHC2T, https://www.jobcase.com/profiles/oda5X7ClWpj6Szxf757mcVf7, https://www.jobcase.com/profiles/7RAprpSGnF7MclUhktl8_rEH) that live within the states limits to see if they have any immediate job leads or second chance hiring event opportunities they can refer to you.
Listen, I’m not saying that the task you’re facing trying to find a job with a past is tough but I’ve seen enough successful reports from other members to recognize that it’s possible and I believe that you can do it!! Stay Encouraged and Keep at it Leanne Snipes

If you are discouraged, like you said several years ago. You should considering getting your criminal record Ex-sponged.
