Dear MattyG, Your not useless or a burden just overwhelmed with valid reason. If I had the money I would gift it to you. Apparently, it's been 8 years of not having a license punishment has been served. This might offend some people, but you deserve a chance to have a job, which requires a drivers license. I have empathy for you because my young son made the same mistake and then became substance free with a lot of help. My suggestion be honest and reach out to people that are willing to open their hearts and wallet to you. For example, start a Go Fund me page and tell the truth your not alone. I will donate what I can afford to you through that fund. The worst outcome you don't get much or anything the positive you just might have a chance at a new start.

Make something and start selling it, to earn the $1200. Find old furniture on the street and repaint it. Use funky colors. Get creative.
