Mr. West I'm kinda like you. I did many yrs in the army and I have a BSW from Norfolk State University. I applied for a CPS job in Virginia and had no clue that I would get hired the same day. Then I went to Miami Florida for vacation and applied there and was hired in 4 days and never returned to Virginia. Next I visited Atlanta and applied for a mental health social work position and been here every since. I did all that to tell you that if you want to do that job just apply. You'll get the job with your BSW. Here's the catch...... Pay sucks to high heaven. And case loads are very large. You sign a 2 yr contract here in GEORGIA and can be penalized for leaving early... But you'll get hired easy with your BSW. Even MSW pay suck to high heaven.... Wonder why I went to paramedic school and then MA school?? Cause I earn $4500 more than a MSW with a LCSW or ACSW. Strange how a associate of paramedic fire rescue and a Diploma of Medical assisting both 9-12 month programs earn more money than a BSW or MSW.... Just apply for the pressure cooker and you'll get exactly what you want.... Best wishes...

I'm not a social worker, but there are independent organizations that are in need of social workers. Healthcare is one of those professional areas.

I have found new social work positions everyday on indeed.com, although my situation is I have a Masters in Family studies without a professional license so I cannot apply.

State government is always looking for Social Workers. A lot of time they require MSW. A lot of juvenile facilities will hire Caseworkers at the BSW level. https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/northcarolina
