Your interview process.
Here is something to remember when interviewing. The job you are interviewing for might not be the job you get. My point is, I have been passed over for fair reasons, location, experience etc. Only to have my resume handed over to an other department head looking for someone. So now one interview has connected me to two folks looking to hire. SO knock their socks off every time. Even if the job is not perfect for you. Make your connections and ask after a rejection if there "is an other position you think I would be good for?". Only ask this if the recruiter or manager says things like, great interview and everyone thought you would be great but we hired someone in an other region, with more experience in, worked with our customer before, etc.... Every interview is a chance to connect.
Excellent Point @Stephen Goncalves. Many of us forget that rejection, although difficult, is part of the job search process. We need to do a better job discovering more opportunistic strategies to rebound or recover from rejections. Solid post, thanks for sharing!
