Forklift Certification Question?

Anyone know of any free or cheap forklift training programs I can take online or in the city? I know how to drive a forklift but my boss say’s he can’t put me on a vehicle full time unless I get certified. The job comes with a pay increase so I want to get that cert as soon as possible. Please hit me up with some training info if you can. Thanks

Forkliftacademy.com its about $50 online. U take an online test. And then the job u work at also has to certify u because every different warehouse has different but similar equipment. Good luck!!!

Tony, You can also try the state labor dept in your city. Usually they will have a library of training aids and videos that can be checked out.

You can take a training course through some technical schools but your certification comes from your job itself. Every new job is a new certification.

This is interesting and yes I have seen the same in job posts. From my experience over the years, each company certifies for the specific equipment. I have even been trained on 120' boom lifts and they don't certify from the company providing training. Good luck and despond with what you find pls.

Counselor (License- Eligible)

Ask your local or state career center. They may also have a free certificate program because they receive many grants from the federal government to re-train and help people get the skills and the positions they are going after. Good luck

Your boss should know where to get certified. Many companies pay for their employees to become certified, it covers safety issues as well. Check with the technical schools, or placement services in your area... good luck
