I worked for a major Staffing Agency in Shelton CT and during my time at one of their clients I suffered a Right MCA Stroke, Crippling my entire left side.The client and the agency were promptly informed and I even spoke to the managing director of my Agency from my hospital bed who asked me to get well and the would reassign me once I am out of the hospital. I spent a little under 2 months in the hospital and another two months in outpatient rehab and all the time I kept in touch. to ensure that I had a job when I was well. I was advised to get a letter from my doctor when He felt I was able to return to work and I did that. I wen to thee office and was not allowed to speak to the managing Ditrector because I did not have an appointment. I kept trying to reach her by phone and email without success, Then her emails tarted to come with a tinge of rudeness, stating that I did not qualify for anything that she had and as soon as a client with needs for jobs I can do arise she wouluyld reach our to me. I waited and her assistant sent me a few jobs to view and consider even having me change my therapy session times to accommodate the job times. then I heard nothing but the same I am not qualified. understanding that this job was a lot less demanding than any of the other jobs I have done for them before,.

I recognized it as discriminartion so I called the head office in Boston and asked for an intervention and this only exasperated my situation.

in the long run I was told that the company no longer wished to assist me in finding work and I should not call them any more. she even went further to report my name to the Shelton Police that I was harassing her. Untrue. ( I was home one day and two officers came by to tell me that I was wanted by the Shelton Police for questioning. I called the officer in charge of the case who advised me that even though he saw no evidence of me harassing her, the face that a case was started if I called the company or her in any way or even email them I Ould be arrested. So now I was abused by this company and now I will be arrested if I sought to vindicate myself.The company is owned by a large CPA FIRM in CT and as a member of the AICPA I intend to report this matter to the AICPA foe ethics ruling, how do you advise?
