Not right now, Thanks!

Taking on this distribution supervisor position was a bad, bad, idea. I’ll be done with training at the end of the week and I’m not at all excited about it. I was blinded by the leadership job title and extra pay when they originally made me the job offer but honestly my heart was never really into it. I’m not interested in being responsible for other people's work right now. Maybe in a few years after I complete my Bachelor's Degree. I just want my old job back. How can I ask my Manager for it without committing career suicide? Someone help me get out of this mess please….

Paul, if you feel you need a little more training, then ask. You don't get anything without asking and if they asked you to become a leader, then they must've seen something in you they liked and wanted to give you the opportunity to grow. It's great that you are attending college to better yourself and what happens then when you finish? I'm sure you are going to school in order to secure a leadership position later? Well, it was offered a little earlier then you expected. I would be honest with the management team and if you feel you need a little more time training then ask. I'm sure you will do fine and run a great team. Just hang in there and it is tough sometimes, but it is great when your team does an excellent job for you and then you are rewarded with that feeling of "I helped get this done". These were my ideas and solutions to problems that arise in the distribution world, and my team got it done! You'll be fine, trust me. I know you don't know me but, I was once in your shoes years ago too and am still going strong.

that's a tricky one. Hard to pull off without shifting some ego's. Best bet is to be honest, clear, and have a plan moving forward. Anyone can change their mind but you've had a few weeks to approach management with this concern, so don't wait any longer.
