Has a change in your career changed??? It's about suicide and the after-life
In 12/14/97 my son died by suicide In 12/16/97 his father lost his battle to cancer
I was in a fog for almost three years trying to see how I can move forward if that was possible. The world has come a long way in almost 20 years leaving people to find their healing journey. Because there were so many people on the band wagon already for the "C" word that is now known as "Cancer" and I didn't find any help with suicide awareness.
After 32 years of wanting to go to school, there wasn't anything to hold me back anymore and so I went back to college and received my Associate's Degree in Human Services and worked in the field for 6.5 years until I was replaced with Ph.d students and promised a job should I get my degree.
At the age of 63 and semi-retired, I wonder how many other people have been in this predicament and traveling on a different path to maintain a level mind, if that is possible.

Well what an inspiration you are!Thank you for sharing.I have been dealing with loss & wondering what I'm going to do with my life.My husband of 23 yrs & the father of my 2 kids passed away very unexpectedly then I lost my mother who lived right next door.My father had Alzheimer's so I cared for him for 7 yrs.Got with a man that had worked with my husband had 2boys.My best friend was murdered by her boyfriend & then 2of my brothers passed away.After caring for my Dad everyday for 7 yrs he passed away 2weeks to the day my son's father died of a drug overdose!! I have been trying to pick up the pieces and move on with my life but it is hard after not working in so long.I also have some health issues but after reading your story you have inspired me!! I think you are doing what you supposed to,to bad they let you go,their loss!God bless you!
You’re already doing it Barbara, Overcoming those life changes takes time. Your will to follow your dreams and pursue a college education is a testament that you’re slowly identifying new paths in life to follow.
