Ready To Work!

I caught my boss drunk at work, should I tell someone or keep my mouth shut?

Reason why I'm asking is because we work in a pretty busy warehouse, so it was a huge safety violation. Do you think I'll lose my job if I tell? I don't want him trying to get revenge on me or anything if he finds out...

You should Absolutely tell his superiors. For him to be drunk at work in a warehouse or any other work environment is a danger to everyone around him. And as far as retaliation against you from the gentleman or the person that was drunk at work I would not worry about it if the company has any moral standards they will not punish you in any way for bringing this to their attention however if it comes out later that he is drunk again at work and you had knowledge prior to this coming out you can be terminated for failure to let his superiors know. As a person you need to go ahead and let the people above him know his performances in his actions being in a warehouse environment he could seriously hurt himself or other coworkers

Proper thing to do is go over his head if You fear for your job .... and most importantly if you work on a Warehouse most likely there is equipment running as well what if he hurts someone or god forbid kills them Become of impaired judgment

Hello Enrique, You should go to HR about your boss. This is a safety violation, which can place yours, his, and other employees lives on the line as well. Whatever the outcome is concerning this situation, at least you can say you acted responsibly as a concerned employee. If you had to take a hiring assessment, the questions are based on different workplace scenarios and how you will handle the situations. Now you have a real situation on your hands, act responsibly.

You should tell someone who is over safety. Or be best to follow your company's policies as it pertains to the issue

No stay clear of it. I have found that anything a person in charge is allowed to violate laws and are above the law of professionalism. Just be careful and do your vey best.
