Chief of Police
I’ve been in the law Enforcement sector for 30 years. I’m currently serving as the Chief of Police for a local all black college. I found out last week the university is appointing a black chief and I’m out the door. I enjoyed my time (4 years) at the university but now I must move on. The only problem is, I have nowhere to move on to professionally. I have twin boys who graduate from high school in May 2018. Suddenly, I have no source of income or insurance for them. I’ve filled out numerous applications over the past week but with this being the holidays, potential employers aren’t at their jobs. Is anyone else in the similar circumstances as I am? If so and you survived, please share you method to success.

Well allow me to begin by saying im sorry for what u are currently going through. I know all to well the struggle you face daily. I have empathy for you and your children. Curious, isn't that illegal bc I thought it was if your losing the position based on ethinicity????
Start by applying at all other Black Colleges then network from there. Check with School Systems like DeKalb County and the other larger counties!!
If you served as the chief of police for a college and you still want to stay in law enforcement, then you should try getting a job as a state or county police officer. and if not, try looking at getting a job as an enforcer, or as an officer of court.
