The Ugly Duckling..?
I have been bilingual for most of my 36 years, and my 7th-grade year I was scouted to aide 2 non English-speaking students that came to our school.. I lived in a small, mostly Caucasian town that seemed to be 10 years behind in EVERYTHING, and the attention that I got for carrying the full-time load of 2 students for 2 FULL YEARS + (!!) was NOT positive. I suffered then from a severe anxiety disorder, depression, and PTSD- not an easy task for an adult to manage, let alone an adolescent self-labeled 'outcast' who hated attention.. In those first couple of years, I helped several households to eat, go to the doctor, and gain the resources they needed to function in that society- I even delivered babies!! I was so busy keeping my head down to avoid being bullied, I failed to realize that I was providing a vital service that, ultimately, helped improve lives! I have since had a hundred more opportunities to help others; I still do a lot of that on a volunteer basis, and I am now more marketable than I ever would have realized I could be. I'm Sol, and I've Made a Difference!

Inspiring story Bailey. So glad you found a way to turn years of bad experiences into fruitful service related career. Please let us know how we can help. Thanks.
Hello. I may not even be close to what you're looking for but I am a 62 year old woman looking to find some work of some kind, but not necessarily on a regular basis. I'm retired, health is improving but no longer drive so would have to count on riding my trike to and from work. I'm a real hard worker, great team player as 2nd motivator. People have always enjoyed working with me and I was never fired from a job or laid off.
