INDUSTRY: AEROSPACE COMMUNICATIONS Estimated salary $75K - 81K

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing PCB layout and documentation for analog and digital electronics and RF assemblies for use in commercial and military avionics equipment including software defined radios, communication/navigation, transponders, and similar products and equipment. In addition to implementing designs to meet functional requirements, this position will be part of the team assuring compliance with requirements flowing down from systems requirements. This includes mechanical integration, thermal design considerations, component library design and maintenance for both new products and in support of production for continuous improvement and cost reduction activities. Position located in Prescott, AZ. Reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager Key/Core Qualifications/Responsibilities: Demonstrable experience with RF and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuit board schematic generation and layout, including best practices for design flow procedures, component library management, BoM generation and maintenance Demonstrable experience with detailed electronic circuit specification and design including: simulation, schematic capture, new part selection, creation and circuit board requirement/design rule definition Experienced with multi-layer, mixed technology, fine pitch Printed Circuit Board Design and layout Experienced with ANSI/IPC specifications for Printed Circuit Board design/layout and fabrication Proficient with Zuken CADSTAR® design software Experienced with Design for Manufacturability, Test and Cost Experienced with thermal management design for power, RF and digital signal processing electronics, using forced air and natural convection techniques Experienced working in a requirements based environment Works to and supports schedules and metrics 5+ years of RF/Digital Signal Processing CAD experience for avionics communications systems Preferred Qualifications/Responsibilities: 10+ years of RF/Digital Signal Processing CAD experience for avionics communications systems Experienced with PCB and Circuit Card Assembly manufacturing methods and flow Experienced with MTBF and component derating analysis and reporting in line with company/customer requirements Experienced phase gate (tollgate) design review processes Experienced with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, tools and techniques Knowledge of the following technologies/skills is a plus: Power Supply biasing and control circuits for RF sub-circuits and systems using SPI or I2C control Mechanical and layout implications relating to RF and DSP design Hands-on measurement and diagnostic skills using electronic and RF test equipment Knowledge of DO-160G Environmental Qualification requirements and FAA Certifications Education and Experience:

Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering 5+ years of experience in avionics RF and digital communications product design Job Type: Full-time
