Thinking about changing careers path

Hello Everyone, Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I've been thinking for some time to change my career path. For 12 years I've been a medical biller and 6 months ago I got a promotion as a Team Director. At first I felt great because it was something I wanted to achieve. However, the job is redundant and I am just tired of sitting behind a computer all day with no interaction with people. I have a lively, outgoing, and fun personality and my employees really love the way I manage the team. It is getting to the point where I feel miserable and unhappy. I am really looking into the airline industry for flight attendant position. What's holding me back is that I feel that at 43 years of age I would be considered to be to old to even consider being a flight attendant. Is it natural to feel that way or am I overthinking. If there are any flight attendants out there, I would really appreciate your advise or anyone's in that matter.

Just about every single person at my current job has changed career paths, some drastically. Go follow your desire. Investigate the skills you need to become a flight attendant. If you knock at enough doors, you will eventually get one opened. One thing is for sure, if you do nothing, then that's what you'll get.

You still have a chance don't give up on yourself. You don't want to look back and have regrets about what you could have done. Up beat and positive attitude, smile, cheerful personality, try now not later.

Hi Derrick!

It's never too late to change career paths! As long as you are willing to transfer your old skills into the new job, and learn new things, you should be able to get a new career as a flight attendant - especially with your personality!! I know Karen Dienesch-Calamari was a flight attendant! Perhaps she can help shed some insight?
