You need to know this!!
The manager who hired me told me this ONE THING is what got me hired - my volunteering experience! I helped my church with a monthly clothes closet and got lots of experience with customer service. She said it made me a stand-out candidate because I had that experience when other people didn't. So if you need a job, find a way to volunteer so you can get that extra boost to your resume. It really helped me out, it will probably work for you too.

Awesome! I'm working with a resume writer and I just sent her my volunteer info! Thanks and congrats on the job!

O, thanks so much you're perfectly right

Thank you for your advice Tanya-

Hello Tanya, praise be to you!!!!....you are an awesome human being....now my awesome friends and I cannot talk much....we laborers....we got no extra clothes....but every now and then....our parole officer takes us to church....to tar the roof....so we count that as a good thing!....I know our story kinda reminds you of Shawshank Redemption....but it is much harder than the movie....first we are felons out on parole....parole officers very strict....one parole officer Kono tased my awesome friend!....true story....other officer Joanna skims off the top by reporting beer expenses on expenditure reporty....but she gives us no beer!....she drinks it all, right in front of us!

Thanks God bless

well what do u know i also volunteered at my church lol

I have worked in customer service for a while. I have been a bartender, a D.J., I worked in customer service in retail. I have volunteered with m y church doing production. Maybe I need to put the church stuff on my resume.

See thats the thing i always babysit an have been for more than 10 years so i have a lot of childcare experience , i have the required 1-2 years experience in cooking , a year in accounting , & i have sales experience but it's still hard for me to get jobs, what should i do ?

Try local hospitals, schools, library, shelters... all which need and want volunteers.
Thank u for the tip!
