I went and took the Class E written test for delivery driving and Taxi Driver. It is a Chauffers license . And states that it is a " For Hire" License. I started the Taco Driving and Delivery Driving Job On the Same Day, Over 20 years ago. On April of this year I will start School for a "Class A CDL. When I Graduate I will Have the Class A Chauffers Driver's License Along With Haz Mat Endorsement, Double and Triple Endorsements also.

Also Antonio some companies depending on if you're going to be driving a company vehicle you'll have to be at least 25 years of age due to the companies insurance company. But really if you are focused and can drive you should be able to land any delivery driver job. I mean assuming you can read and write English and everything else will come to you. Like checking your paperwork to make sure the quantities and descriptions of the load being delivered are correct and how to strap your load in so you don't go and shift your load and end up with a mess in your trailer or whatever vehicle you're transporting merchandise in. Oh and as silly as this might sound you should know the height of the highest point of your vehicle or trailer...lol You wouldn't want to get stuck in a parking structure or drive thru or something like that...hahahahaha.

You'll have to have CDL s if it's a large Truck. If it's a Cargo Van or a 12ft. or 16 ft . Box Truck, you'll need experience in driving one of those. Also, you'll need to be proficient at Time Management, Customer Service, GPS knowledge and of course loading your stops according to your Route. Most people can manage a Delivery Driving position, IF you know how to drive.

It depends on what type of delivery driver you are applying for. No matter what you’ve got to have a clean driving record and if you want to transport people or freight you’ve got to have an F Endorsement or a P permit CDL on a Bus.

Depends on the company minimals. But clean driving record and up to date insurance and a vehicle this side of 2000 will be good for a lot of driver services where you drive your own vehicle. The bigger your vehicle, the more you can do in those jobs

Depends on the company and what kind of vehicle you will be driving but no matter what you will need a valid drivers license and a clean driving record for 3-5 years and then from their you will need to find out if you will need a CDL certification. Some companies you might not need it due to the vehicle used not needing certification. So just look into the job description more and usually it will let you know if you need it or not. Hope that helps you out.

To become a qualified Delivery driver, you may need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and possibly a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for certain types of deliveries. Some employers may also provide on-the-job training for specific delivery routes and protocols. Check Jobcase, Indeed, or other job search providers for Delivery driver positions and their specific requirements.
