Wow!!!!!
Yesterday I met with my career counselor I met through unemployment. As we were talking I was telling her about Jobcase. She was really curious as I was telling her and she looked through everything on here. She checked out the conversations and the job search feature on here. She went from curious and unsure of it to being impressed. (She has in the past seen other sites that she is not thrilled with.) She likes the amount of support everyone gives each other. The fact we can search for jobs on here. Her final decision, she said I will let others know about Jobcase.
So to all those behind the scenes here, thank you for all the hard work you do for all of us to have a place like Jobcase. To all the people who post and comment.... You all help make Jobcase a great place to be. Thank you for your posts and taking time to read and comment on the posts others write. Together we make up our family here at Jobcase. Hopefully she will pass the word along to others jobseekers who will have an opportunity to join and collaborate in this community.
How did your consult go by the way? Did you have an opportunity to work on your resume? Do you feel that you walked away from the consult with a new career search strategy or enlightenment?
The reason I ask is because I've been a strong advocate for the these local career consults but it's been a while since I myself participated in a one on one career consultation so I want to make sure they are still helpful. Any feedback you can share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
