J S Audio Visual at Audio Visual Technician

Audiovisual technician

I was previously employed with a privately owned audiovisual visual company for nearly 9 years and I had to relocate, for personal reasons, to a location where the company I was working for did not have locations within a reasonable distance for me to travel to. I therefore, put in my notice and gave them over three weeks for my replacement and even extended a few days to assist with a heavily scheduled week. When I spoke to my manager weeks in advance of my relocation, he seem to have understood my situation and wished me well on my decision I had made. I also typed up formal resignation letter to him but on my very last day, he nor the assistant manager were in for the day, so I continued to work that day before I had to leave for my move. I've now been in Florida for the last two and a half weeks and all I've been able to get is the first interviews of job rolls I qualify for but no call backs. I even tried networking through a friend who is in the field in which he sounded very enthusiastic about me coming on board, but after I had filled out a w9 form and sent in info for a background check, I haven't heard from him nor will he respond to my calls or texts. I'm just wondering if I may have been black listed for some odd reason? I believe I may have followed the proper channels in communication with my manager and hr representative, but maybe some details may have been left out of what I may have understood. Can anyone help me with this? I'd really value your time.

I would definitely keep looking for more jobs. Also, I find sending thank you notes to be amazingly helpful. Have you done that after any of your interviews?
