Confused

I was once a temp at this company they hired me and trained me in feb of this year. They hired someone in april to just do one account and scanning as of Wednesday they gave her all my work and pushed me into a new position and new department the boss said she will keep it mind if i dont like this new position i already dont. Should i be worried that everything i learned since i started is now gone and not for my benefit as the manager says its the end piece of the puzzle i could nt even say no like my other colleagues did. I am so confused.i am with the union as well my 90 day probation passed last week.any advise would be helpful

That is confusing, I guess it would depend on if the new position is a forward, a lateral, or a step down. If the direction is forward, and you can do the job, try not to worry. If the direction is not forward maybe consider talking to the boss.

Melissa unfortunately in today's job market there is nothing that is certain. Most of these mid-range companies do not treat employees correctly. Right now I work at my own Leisure from home and the only jobs that I would look after we're people that I know from the past

This is something you should discuss with your shop steward. If you are union as you say, that person would be your resource to get an answer from.

Go with the flow. Everyone is replaceable. Just do your job, be helpful in fact make sure the new person is successful. Don't be intimidated by anyone. You were hired for a reason. Just go with it and stop thinking change is bad. Change is inevitable and unless you get on board with that mindset you won't succeed.

I say talking with your Union rep about the situation is the best thing for you to do. They are there to help you in anything that happens on the job. Good luck.

Confused:

Take the challenge, you never know where it may lead. Always learn as much as you can at any firm. When they are short handed you can slide right in and perform. Never just want to know a small piece of the puzzle you want to solve it. Give the new position a chance. Make it your own. Good luck!

It could be a setup since you belong to a union
