Desperately looking for an entry level I.T job, help desk, desktop support or computer support.

Hi everyone, my name is Patrick. I’ve been taking classes at college and been trying hard to get a job in a career I am persuing, I will be graduating this spring with my associates degree of applied sciences. Majoring in information systems security. I have tried however for a longtime to apply to jobs and I’ve been told it’s who you know , that’s how you can find a job. I still don’t want to believe that .. If anyone has anything related please give me a heads up . I am very hardworking and ready to get my hands on anything that leads to my career busting. Even if it’s a trial to check me out . I would greatly appreciate it. Patrick

If Monster and Indeed aren't working, try cold calling and passing out your resume with a cover letter. I was recently unemployed and started cold calling at all the places in the vocation I was looking for and two days in, I had an unpaid internship which looks great on my resume and gives me that foot in the door I was looking for!

Try to apply for a job in cyber security. Plus ask the career counselor advice on information security, information systems, and technology security services.

A paid internship is your best option at this stage. Here's an example:https://guardian.taleo.net/careersection/gl_ex/jobdetail.ftl?job=152000#United%20States-New%20Jersey-Holmdel ... Also, by all means talk to your instructors! They should know of opportunities or be able to point you in the right direction.

If you are willing to persue a bachelors degree, I am sure some of the larger corporations will take you on as a recent graduate. Or, you could always try to Intern at some of the larger corporations in your area. Internship do pay too.

The key to getting a job in IT is all in the resume. If you accurately document what you achieved while working, school, or certificates, you'll get hired. Just shotgun you resume to about 20 employers and someone will pick you up.

Suerte. Así q me he puesto a cortar grana.
