Follow your dreams... Life is too short... It may be tough at first ( I speak from currently struggling as an independent floral designer) GO FOR IT!!

That's so fun! Have you thought about going to school for fashion? Maybe an online program that can help you get your foot in the door? That might be a great place to start. Other than that, I'd say focus on retail jobs at stores and companies where you love their designs. Hope this helps!
