Kindred Health Care, Unit Clerk
This job has been posted for the last 4 months.Applied for the job every 2 - 3 weeks and my previous application pops out every time for review and submission with a message that someone from the company will get in touch with me. Never did. Had 12 years working as unit clerk in City & County of San Francisco plus 13 years as front desk Clerk in a hotel and provided my resume and references and educational background but to no avail. Keep getting emails that job is still open. Sometimes I'm tempted to stop by and check with their employment office but they say " apply online ".Any suggestions ?

Dio - I have a theory that has been confirmed by various IT recruiters. My theory is that some companies will post a requirement so they can gather up resumes for future requirements. The requirement you responded to is probably fake! I know your frustrated. I was in a situation back in 2002 where a company had a contract with the FBI. The FBI told them that they had to bring on subcontractors. There was a clause in the contract that said that any of the subcontractors could NOT bring on anyone who had been rejected by the prime contractor. So the prime contractor pulled of a bunch of resumes off Monster and had bogus interviews. It was a case of them trying to deliberately undermine the subs. I really needed the work at that time so I was heartbroken and angry that a company could stoop that low! My guess is that they're holding on to your resume to submit for future proposals. Thank you for sharing!

Hey Dio, I took a look into that Unit Clerk position with Kindred Health and found this Warning Notice on their career page (see attached). The frequent email notifications you receiving could be as a result of this notice. Take a moment to review the info and verify that your not being recruited by one of these mediums. If so, then go directly to the Kindred Health website and apply for the job via their career page. - http://www.kindredhealthcare.com/careers/recruitment/

Hi Dio: That sounds so frustrating! It sounds like it might be time to move forward with your job search. Find an employer who won't leave you hanging like this - you deserve better!

They say no calls accepted, what else do I need to do because they also say " apply online " only.

Hi Dio, Have you tried calling them to follow up on your application? I actually recommend doing this with any application you submit 1-2 days after just to make sure they received it.
Dio, you have the patience of a saint!! I do have a question regarding your past unit clerk position. Was it in medical? Please do not think I am in anyway judging. If it was medical X12 years you need to move on and find someplace that is going to appreciate you!! A good unit clerk is hard to find and the fact that you come to them with 12 + as a UC and also the front desk position =++!! Have you checked the other health care co , hospitals, offices? Hospitals are going to pay the best. You have a right to call, apply in person etc when the are running an add but cannot even respond to you!! Let us know what happens?? Wish you all the best in your search!!
