Do we know "success" at all?

People are always talking, thinking about it, wishing for it desperately. In my 10 years of work I've learned that what others and the media usually deem as succes, is superficial, it comes and goes. And it might not even be relevant to you. Your feeling/sensation of success depends on you acquiring what you truly need. Which is often less/different from what we think we need or want. And it is usually never what others tell you to achieve. That being said, feeling of success must not be success in itself. But at this point in my life and career, I'm happy with it.

Hi Griselle, thanks so much for posting! I also believe that an individual needs to define what "success" means them. To some, it might mean a large salary and great benefits, to others, it's the ability to help others and give back to their community. As long as you hold onto what you want and meet your goals you should always feel proud. It's nice to know you are satisfied with your career and where you are Griselle, you sound like a person who knows exactly what she wants : ) and there's nothing wrong with that!
