I'm in trouble... help!!!!
My friend was homeschooled and has been denied getting interviews because she is does not have "sufficient" education. How do you put homeschooling on a resume in way that is appealing to employers? Could you get certified even if your diploma is from being homeschooled? How would you explain being homeschooled to an interviewer? I think it's very unfair because she still has a high school diploma and is qualified.

Nothing that the God Almighty through His Son Jesus Christ we are serving cannot do. God Almighty through His Son Jesus Christ will surely see your friend through. In Jesus' name.

Hi Amelia, Only way to get appealing towards a home school Diploma is having it notarized by a notary republic and proof of statement by other people like your friends who sees your home schooled. Michael Mills

Need to contact the Department of Education for the area you live in and find out their requirements for acceptance.

Home schooled an individual has to meet the same criteria as an individual who actually attends a public school. Same assessments are given to home school individuals you do have a diploma. The solution would be you graduated with the same credentials as all others. Continue your education.

You dont put homeschooled on a resume. U just put under education; high school diploma. My daughter now 26 was homeschooled and is currently teaching 4th grade . she didn't have a problem obtaining employment due to her non attendance to any other school forum outside of homeschool. Rover. Com to walk dogs for pay or doordash. Com to deliver groceries if u have a car

As long as she passed all the standardized tests there is no reason for them to give her grief. Most homeschooled children I know are more advanced because there are fewer distractions and no bullying during the learning process. Best of luck to your friend.

Homeschool diplomas are still typically issued through the board of education meaning they are legitimate diplomas. She shouldn't have to explain her education. On her application she can simply list High School as the school and the year of her graduation, and GPA if asked.
If they ask for clarification in the interview, which to be honest no one has ever asked me about my high school in an interview, she can simply say she earned her diploma through a homeschooling program authorized by the ________ County Public Schools Board of Education.
As long as a diploma comes from the BoE, they are legitimate and are held to the same standards. Your friend's parents/guardians should have been updating records of progress with the schools which means she has transcripts. She can get certified, apply to colleges, etc...
Take it to EEOC. I am tired of fooling with these employers.
