Chef working at Wegmans?

The food at Wegmans is NO JOKE. I'm an experienced chef working at a restaurant and i've been feeling so burnt out. Would Wegmans be a good fit for me, or will I be out of place?

Hey Ryan, I was a Chef for 8 years and found grocery to be a different kind of work. All about tonnage, being the Department Head for hot foods was just so much physical labor that at the end of the 6 day week I was just beat. My culinary skills were appreciated but it was mostly cooking for the masses. I prefer a kitchen that promotes artistic culinary talent over the slavery I went through in my 18 month experience. I understand the burn out factor, but I don't know that Wegmans will be better than where you are now.

Hi Ryan: Wegmans actually has AWESOME food - they're really well known for their meals. I'd say go for it - you'll definitely find it challenging and fun!
