HVAC Apprenticeship

I'm looking to become an apprentice for HVAC, I'd be starting at entry level. I'd like to get involved with the union. I have general knowledge, I've worked in maintenance and also construction. Can you give me any tips or career opportunities please?

Have you ever thought about working with international bureau of electric worker(IBEW) or any other HVAC companies that are in your general knowledge book?

Good Career Move Eric! There's been a big push to develop more apprenticeship programs in the US over the last 5 years; particularly within the trade industries. You should be aware that apprenticeship programs are very competitive and the application process is strict. Do you know what union you're interested in? If so, go to their website and search "apprenticeship". Read over the qualifications and pay attention to the application deadlines, (very important). Missing a deadline will result in having to wait another year or more before you can re-apply.

Check out the apprenticeship information for UA Local 440 for more details.
