Looking for part time job

If I had a felony in 88 and went to jail but I won appeal do I need to still to put I did committ a felony on job applications when asked

ok when filing out an application you must not put that you had a felony because the company or companies that you have applied for may not hire you

Very good question! I would say unequivocally, yes. The question on applications is usually phrased as: "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?" Even though it was successfully appealed, the truth is that you were and it will all appear on a background check.

You don't want the hiring manager to have any doubts about you. Just because the appeal was successful, it doesn't mean it never happened.

My suggestion is to answer YES, but then clarify it in the area for details: "In 1988, I was convicted for _____. In [year], the conviction was overturned because _____."
