Am I allowed to work in this setting?
I am currently in school working on my degree in Psychology. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to work in. Psychology setting job before I earn my degree? I would like to work even receptionist at a Psychology setting job to get a vibe of what it's like. If I am allowed, where would be good places to apply at?

You do not need a Psychology degree to be a Receptionist in a Psychologists office (source: I interviewed for for a Receptionist job at a Psychologist's office). The interviewer may, however ask you some questions to check your sensitivity towards other people and your ability to deal with potentially emotional patients. They'd also want to get the impression that you're good with sensitive information, so if you've had a job where you had access to private documents you might want to try and slip that in to conversation somehow. I would also second what Maricruz said about talking to your professors. Professors are a great (and often under-used) resource for career related networking. Best of luck!

Talk to the professor's whom are teaching your physchology classes they will definitely know where you can get the training you would like before you earn your degree. The Financial Aid Department of the University you are attending could also assist you. Check with them regularly.
Yes Ashley.....go get that job you want. Just being around your chosen field will do wonders for you. No matter if you have to be the janitor to do it. You can certainly work at those type jobs until you get your degree, then go and occupy that fancy office. Kidos to you dear....!!!!
