Trinidad, you night have enough hands on experience to pass the certification exam now but you may need to learn the theory. It's a good idea to go somewhere local where a certified agency can assess your current welding skill/knowledge level. Cochise College offers has a welding program and could have program you can attend this summer to prepare you for testing or a career. Contact the school Welding Department and explain your concerns and/or goals (http://www.cochise.edu/). Also look for apprenticeship openings with Welding Companies or union locals. Hi Trinidad: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! Have you considered being a journeyman welder? It's still a job, but the emphasis is on training to become a certified welder. It could be a great option for you!
