Happy Smiley Saturday, Dear Community Happy Smiley Saturday, so I posted many posts on Union Apprenticeship lately and you must be wondering why? As a Delegate with 1199 SEIU part of my commitment is to recruit new members. This consist of walking in neighborhoods, general public areas, door to door canvas and more. To attract talented people who want a better job. Although it isn't easy to do it is a commitment I took with 1199SEIU. During my training, I was introduced to the General Labors Council. This council represents all the unions in Southeastern Massachusetts. At the monthly meeting, we met with all the Union Trades and the main topic they each spoke on was needing Apprentice? As a Jobcase Community Member and Supporter, I thought of you! People who are looking to better themselves in a new field. And this is what I want to share with you. When I joined 1199 SEIU my pay increase by $15,000.00. That's Right Fifteen Thousand Dollars for the same thing I was already doing anyway. No changes. The only difference is now I am a part of an organization that protects me, pays for all my training and more! Over the coming weeks, I will touch more on my union and introduce you to it furthermore.
