Hello again I forgot something that I wanted to ask about if anyone has interviewed with Sykes or if anyone knows exactly what they are referring to when they say be prepared with examples of your past experience. What would that be besides a resume I am thinking along the lines of a detailed sheet of your experience possibly as a visual aid during the interview. Like a bubble chart etc Any ideas would be appreciated if anyone knows what they are exactly looking for.
Thanks again Charla

Examples of situations you faced with customers and how you handled it

Hello Charla, I worked for them years ago and basically you are dealing with AT&T disgruntled customers. What they are really asking of you, are what you have done and how you react so that they can determine if you have the skills needed to progress further in the hiring process.

I would leave bubble remarks out and keep it page by page of your work ethics and your past experiance

Well in short... don't give or show prior company proprietary info. Have verbal examples of those infamous open questions like tell me about a difficulty you experienced and how you solved it as a team. Overcoming adversity kind of thing. If the job is technical you could identify type of software or tools you are adept at. Hope that helps

How you handelled a difficult boss or peer. What did you do to make the situation better.

I believe that they mean be prepared to give detailed examples of your past work experience in relation to the job that you are applying for. Employers do not necessarily exercise sense and sensibility when talking to candidates. You have to keep in mind that your probably not dealing with some one who has industry knowledge; At least not as much as you have. In short unless you're in front of the hiring manager that will be your supervisor for the position you've applied for, they don't know what the job details are just the job description. I hope that my input helped. Please let me know.

A lot of times they want you to STAR. I used to work for Sykes in a HP call center. (way back in the day) Verizon also hit me with this little diddy. It is the acronym Situation Task Action Results. What was the situation/ w. I.E Tell about what Tasks were involved? What Action did you take to accomplish said tasks. What was the Result? I.E tell me about a time when you made a difference at a previous job where it made an impact. Interviewers love real life scenarios. How did you apply it to to make a change or what did it change? what process was involved?

Papers from the past that shows your accomplishments. That's what I think. A portfolio!
Put your heading in the center and rest of your template in the right places. I hope this helps. Your experience should be lined and centered to tell the employers what kind of job that you've want them seek.
