Minister at Covenant Of Hope Ministries

Work from home or extremely local

I have a problem, or a multitude of problems. The doctor said no driving and avoid the bus, so I have my two feet, or others giving me a ride everywhere. I have worked from home off and on for a decade or so. I had hoped a job I found would work out well, but it has become very shaky over the last two weeks due to a shakeup at the office where my employer is. I am a writer, a poet, a minister, yes, I have done all of those from home. I also have a degree that I have used while working in all those points of view, project management for electronic commerce. I've built websites, blogs, worked on video shorts, and all sorts of other things. Yet, finding a job for someone who is more comfortable working from their home office is no simple thing. Any suggestions?

Co Founder Ceo at Jobcase Inc

definitely go to www.upwork. com and register. they are a combination of the old companies 'elance' and 'o-desk' and they have lots of work on one-off basis that you can start with while you figure out something more regular (although I know quite a few people who prefer just living the gig-lifestyle off of contractual work like this - maybe you will too).
Besides that, Amazon and others are increasingly hiring work from home. jobcase is going to be setting up new sections for this but won't get that done till summer.
Gotta run but thats my quick thought - look forward to hearing what other JObcasers think! Fred www.upwork.com
