networking
I am looking for a job in Human Resources preferably in Benefits. I have a Masters Degree in Management focusing on HR and have a few years, part-time, project based HR experience. I would like to network with any HR professionals, Recruiters, or Hiring Manager based in the Seattle area on here. I recognize there might not be any openings in HR right now with the companies these individuals represent. However by connecting with other HR professionals, my goal is to be considered should such an opportunity come up.
Thank you Sincerely Jason Shaw

Hi Jason, I think networking is a great way to find a new position. I would also recommend that you look outside your network and start applying to any positions that look like possible fits. The more opportunities you have, the better. You should target some entry level HR roles, such as HR Generalist, Coordinator, Associate, etc. Getting your foot in the door is huge! You can always grow into the ideal role.
Best of luck!

Hello Jason do you have any HR certifications? When time permits go to google and type HRCI which is the Human Resources Certification Institute and look for the PHR (Professional Human Resources) Exam. This certification will prepare you for every component of the HR Arena. Much success in your quest to finding a rewarding HR position.
