Typically long gaps are looked at as possible criminal history, so it is good to address it. The question you need to be ready for is this. "You have been on SSDI for 10 years, what has changed, and why are you ready to work now"? Are you going back to work because the government is tightening up some of the funding programs, or do you actually want to work? If you are at least ready to answer those questions you won't get blindsided. I would get ahead of the issue, and own it, as people tend to respect that approach more.
