I'm desperate...

I'm stuck in a cycle of increasing bills and I can't see a way out. How can I ask my manager for a raise without making it seem like I'm desperate? I need more money but I have my pride too...

Hi! Pride right now is the number one thing we don't need right now. We living in hard times. But another thing too it can cause you to lose your job so you might want to look for a second job.

Maybe you should try looking at your spending habits. You could earn $90 a sec. and over spend. Being desperate is a cry for help to learn management of your money. I have a friend that earned the same $57,000 that I did last yr. She filed bankruptcy and I didn't. We both have a child and a home. But I have $4,400 in the bank and she was -$356..... But I am not going to travel to points unknown and party till early Sunday morning. I'm not going to buy the latest or newest thing on the market. So spend time looking over your budget before you get fired for pressing too hard.

Don't bring your personal situation into the room with you. Make sure you present a solid case of why you're such a good employee. If you make it personal, it gets awkward.
