Why is it that after posting my resume and filing out applications no one has responded other than some mass selling insurance company. Does anyone know what can be done to increase employer Interaction?

Hi Cora, Frustrating isn’t it. One of the reasons they don’t respond or at least not right away is due to the overflow of job applications the get for each posting. Most companies don’t have the proper resources or technology to manage the high volume of applicants. There’s mixed thoughts on following up after applying. Some say it’s a waste of time.. Employers will contact you if their interested. Other’s say it’s the best way to verify your application was received, stand out among other applicants, and get informed on the hiring process. I’m partial to the latter. The competition for jobs out there is fierce so I try to act on anything that can put me in a better position to get hired. Call, email, message, or use social media outlets to make contact with the decision makers. Hope this helps.
