Giving up hope..

Hello all, I have been at my currant position for 2 years, it started out a great position at a remote location. Recently the corporate office has watching cameras every minute and question what customers come and go, etc. not only manager but coworkers have been getting involved in watching as well. Been there 2 years no raise even though our sales have been over 100% of goal every month for over 18 month in a row. I drive 1 1/2 hours every day each way and decided to search work out closer to home for a lower pay, there have been a few positions come up that match my skills, and experience that pay reasonable but I seem to keep getting overlooked or make the final 2 or 3 candidates but never seem to land one. My car is on the verge of breaking down. Thanks for listening, and good luck to all the job searchers out there.

Scott - looks like you're a veteran from the flag on your profile - there are a ton of companies that have created special programs to give preference to those who have served! When looking at each company, I'd see if they have one on their website because sometimes there is a second way to apply for a job. Here's an example of what Wells Fargo has: https://www.wellsfargo.com/about/careers/veterans/

Don't give up Scott, keep trying. Monitor job listings and apply as soon as you see new position posted. Timing is often important. When they get enough applications, they may stop looking at others. Good luck!

Hi, Scott. You are doing really well by having a great resume built up, looking for job actively and prepare for every interview. It's good to share the story in groups and see if an employer or other employees may be able to help you on finding the reasons and improve. Or in the groups that are related to 'Interview', you will be able to find many tips which will definitely help you to success. For example (groups): https://www.jobcase.com/groups/edad080f-81e9-44f1-8dc3-79e325685693. I believe you with your strong background, a great job is coming to you soon! Never give up!
