Here’s a good strategy to help land a job after graduation.
Call your school’s Career or Alumni Services Office and ask them for a link or directory that connects you to the alumni network then reach out and make contact with alumni members working within your career interest or related fields. Roughly 40% of all new hires are generated by internal employee references and I’ve read that this is a popular recruiting and hiring method among corporate recruiters and hiring managers. I started reaching out to my school's alumni this month and so far I’ve made a couple of contacts with 1 job lead. The results are okay for the amount of time I've invested in this approach so far but I think it’s a good alternative to just online job searching.

good info.thanks

Job Fairs and Information interviews are also helpful.

I'll give it a try d, thank you

Fantastic advice, Doreen!
Don't forget your faculty advisor or other professors you have a good relationship with. Especially at major research institutions, faculty are writing, consulting, reviewing, researching, and otherwise in close contact with business people. Fields such as communications, journalism, theatre, technologies, chemistry, or biological sciences should be fertile ground. From my own experience as an English major, a prof put in a good word with his publisher who was hiring an editorial assistant. I had a successful 20-year career in publishing, and this CEO always went to his authors to suggest bright grads to hire. Any time you can get past human resources can get you noticed more quickly.
