To all Ceo's and DM's!!!

To whomever this may concern, you definitely need to check out the Humboldt, Tennessee store #1258!! This store Manager does not treat any employee with respect. She's rude to every employee that's hired within that store..Why Do You Think Their Are So Many Being Fired!!!! Has anyone given it a thought. So many have worked with her and realized that she's the one thats the cause for so many quitting and many being fired, because she leads them up to being rude to customers, due to her harassment everyday, cutting hours on her office computer(which everyone knows this, Employees have saw this!!!!), Arguing with customers in front of the store customer's(Employees have witnessed) and Taking products from the store and not paying for any of it!! Bad thing is her Assistant has taken out the front door and given to her (Employees have saw this as well). She's also taken money from the safe, which is why our register drawer comes up short and employees get wrote up or fired, because of this!! What's Really Sad is that corporate let's this happen, because the employees are considered the ones at fault!! There's been some great girls that have worked their ass off in this store and all they get is a ass chewing from the manager that says "We aren't doing it good enough to suit her" !!! Another thing that needs to be brought up is " Working Off The Clock" which many have been told by manager to clock out at 10:30, but needed to stay at the store until it's 100% recovered!!! This is very wrong! If you(Corporate) care about your employees like you say, then you will honor that by checking all this out!! She's bad about threatening employees also! Please Do Something About This!!!!!

General Manager at Dollar General

Hello, I want to say this with the upmost respect to Dollar General, DON'T BLAME THE COMPANY. I worked there for 7 plus years and trust me your situation is not the company's vision. I know that there are people that gain power and think that they are the ruler of the world, but DG is not to blame it's solely on the shoulders of a terrible manager. First thing if someone is stealing call the LP directly (this is on your STARS poster on the communication center) or call the STARS line if you desire to stay anonymous. Secondly, stay calm, HR helps big time if the SM is shaving hours. They will investigate and make the proper fixes needed just make sure you don't wait to make a difference. Remember this, everyone is human that are in these positions and everyone handles responsibility and power differently. I was a DM and trust me the company trains us on how to treat people and resolve conflict the way Mr. Turner envisioned it and I hope that you stick it out in that company in order to make a difference in the future. Third and final, never get so frustrated that you hop on any form of media with such strong statements towards your entire company. It is a free country but you also signed a media policy that has guidelines so just be careful. I know that you are at your wit's end but never let that get the best of you because no one wants someone in the wrong telling them about what someone did wrong. You will run across some characters in any business, and they will make you think that is how the business is, but just remember a few people are never enough to judge an entire company off of. Make the right calls ASAP (not the LP acronym either) and make a difference and don't swear, lol. I hope this helped and I hope all goes well

What hurts me is when I went off on a customer not meaning too. She lead me up to doing this, because I was harassed and put down everyday for a whole week. I have never treated anyone this way!! Another problem I had with the Manager is the day she fired me...she wrote me up 5 times in a day and that was very wrong as well!!! What should I do and can I do anything about this? I asks for copies and she wouldn't givee any! Am I entitled to a copy of those write ups!!!

I have heard simular horror stores in Kansas and Texas about Dollar General. Report this to your state labor board.

It has been my experience that the store management is just a reflection of the upper management including the CEO or CFO. These corporations are like fish - that start rotting from head down to the tail. So, complaining or writing to the higher management is like preaching to the Quire. They are going to totally ignore your letter of complaint. I have seen CEO that come to the local plant, calls in a general meeting, then stands on a table, jumping and stomping on the table to get their points across. They think the employees are morons and they have no intellect so they have to be treated this way to make them $$millions.

The state board of labor and wage would love to hear from you on this issue. They are more than qualified to make the employer accountable for this unruly employee supervisor and her negative actions towards other employees.
