Do you have your location on your resume? It might be in your best interest to remove that from your resume/cover letters/reference list while applying to jobs, as you could get automatically excluded from screening calls due to your location. You said you're moving back - did you live there before? Try contacting previous employers/coworkers/family and ask if they know of any open positions you'd be a good fit for.
