I really want to get my foot in human resources but I have a degree in communications. How can I do this?

Hi Ada, Don't worry about your degree at all. Communication is a very important part of working in HR, so that should be seen as a positive. I would start looking into HR Generalist or Coordinator types of positions. This could have you working on a number of different things from scheduling, administration, benefits, etc. The main thing employers will be looking for is a very positive attitude, teamwork and the ability to communicate well. Take a look at the link below and see if anything lines up.

Recruiting, HR solution companies, Healthcare i.e. nursing homes, hospitals, hospitality just to name a varied few. These sectors all employ HR personnel. Good luck.
