Not Interested/Changing

Hello...Everyone Here goes. I've done A/R & A/P for awhile. I'm not interested in either, besides that there is only so much that can be done in Account Receivables-Payables. I've done from cradle to grave. I'm more interested in Staff Accounting Positions, but it seems for what ever the reason I get called OR job's for those exact positions, and I'm totally NOT interested, because I know exactly what the positions entails: been there done that. Yes- I know be grateful/thankful we have a job, but when one has done all that can be done in those types of positions there is nothing that can be gained, at the EOD it's still the same. So, my question to anyone on the board how does one handle not interested, in any of those positions/customer service?

Do you have an Accounting Degree? Most companies require an Accounting Degree for let's say, a Staff Accountant positions . If you do not have an Accounting degree, you may want to consider working at an Accounting firm, and see if they pay your tuition. A lot of companies have tuition reimbursement programs. This is only if you want a career in Accounting(and make the big bucks!) :)
