omg it really helps

I have been applying to jobs for ages and every once in a while I’ll get an interview. I always feel super uncomfy in interviews and I have trouble staying on topic. So I had a front desk interview for a hotel and before the interview this time I watched a couple youtube videos about how to prepare for an interview AND I had my friend stacy sit down and give me interview questions while I pretended it was real. I think this helped SO MUCH. I went into the interview yesterday and I felt much more comfortable (not perfectly haha but a lot better) and more focused. WHen I shook her hand at the end I didn’t even feel like my hand was clammy or gross. I just didn’t realize how helpful it was to prepare for an interview like that! I def recommend it!

You can also meet with your local unemployment reps and they should be able to help you with your resume and do mock interviews as well

That’s wonderful! I’ve heard there are a few companies out there where you can pay money to do mock interviews but I never thought about doing them with friends. That’s a great idea, I might have to steal that for my next one.
