Round and Round We Go!!!
I live in a small town, where the businesses here have existed for years. I just finished trading school to become a mechanic and wanted to gain experience from the best mechanic in town. One problem, when I put in my application at his shop I never hear back. Finally, when I get a hold of him he says, call back next week because he's busy. How can I get him to give me a chance at this job?

Daniel - Since it's a small town, I'm pretty sure you can get an idea which day is slowest so you can go to the shop. Speak to the manager about your capabilities

Don't waste your time, go to other towns and submit your application.

To busy to respond! Sounds like a boss who is doing everything him self, if you get work at his shop, will he have the time to listen to you then? He says he is too busy now! John said one day a recent graduate from a teck school entered his shop looking for employment. He was hired on the spot. When ask where his work station was the owner pointed to a oil stained section of flooring. The new hire lasted one day and was not heard from again. If you like fixing things that don't work start by fixing the things in you life which are not workiing now. Such as your tool box which is a pile of wrenches dropped in a bag along with the kitchen sink and bath room plunger. You are in for long periods of depressing lack if work, then hit with more than you can handle with no breaks exceot potty and food if you have the income to purchase tge food. Currently Jack has removed the wiring harness to a 2005 ford superduty 3/4 ton extended cab truck with a 5.4 V8. It sits in his driveway now waiting for the owner who has no transportation and lack of income them selves to get funds or food or both to him. The owner has a $350.00 truck payment due on the 26th, $190.00 insurance payment, there own overhead costs and fuel at 12 to 15 miles per gallon costing them in the area of $540.00 a month. Bobs auto repair wants $3100.00 and 25 hours labor to replace the engine wiring harness this vehicle has 3 different harnesses. FORD in this case means literally (Fix Or Repair Daily). Do you think that shop ower is going to stop a listen to your request to hire you? No, he is to busy. The above story you just read is true and happening currently. Good luck in your job search...

I am looking for a job and I have experience in the maintenance area and repairs and painting so I am very interested in what kind of position you have available for me looking forward to hear from you
