Black Friday!??!
This is my first time working on Black Friday at my job and I don't know what to expect. I've been warned about the long hours and rude customers, but do people really fight and argue? What are the best or worst situations you have seen working in retail on Black Friday?

the first ever black friday i had to be at work 3:30am and i did not get off until 6pm that day. I had a half hour lunch and will never do it again as long i live. I went home and i slept, getting home was a chore.

Not to scare you but I have worked on Black Friday while working for Wal-Mart and Kohl's. When I worked for Kohl's I had a 10 1/2 hour shift on Black Friday and on Saturday. I have seen people fight over items and the worse is when they involve their kids in the fights. Wal-Mart is always crazy during the holidays but what I can remember there was a fist fight over a Tickle Me Elmo doll.

Oh yes I have worked on black Friday at a pass job and on my current job one year folks is so crazy u see how foolish people is fighting arguing and snatching thing out of people hands and see some funny mess watching people act the fool.

When I worked at Kohls as a Shoe Salesman things were pretty organized but shoes were ever where

It is a breeze. No worries. Just stay calm and do your best. You will do great.

I have worked for Walmart on Black Friday and i thought it was fun. Everything went smooth. People were nice. Id do it again!!

Starbucks

Wal-Mart has police there for security so in my tenure everything is pretty much orderly just lots of customers. Long lines, sure, but you can only go so fast, so keep your cool and it's kind of fun!

Worked at Walmart for 11 years. Black Friday was always the busiest day of the year. There are going to be rude customers and long hours. Remember to treat people like you want to be treated and you will be fine.
I've been in retail management and what I dislike the most is theft
