Hmm...that is interesting. I definitely don't think it's expected to give a response after receiving a thank you letter. Otherwise we would be in a circle of "Thank you's" that would never end. However, the person you responded to may not have been used to this gesture and really appreciated it! As far as a job offer, it's hard to say. You'll have to keep us all updated!
