Know what you are worh, and be that and more

Guys a lot of us have been loyal employees for one company or another and have never taken a day off n any kind of trouble, but find ourselves in the need for better or more employment. Let's all agree we are the majority and the company is the business. We are in the business of being there doing a great job and keeping the bosses happy. The business is there as a service to make money on the backs of the majority. Once the money made and there is a better opportunity somewhere else, the business is gone. While we are still the minority. Being optimistic you could say, they are providing jobs somewhere for somebody else, while the pessimist will say my job is diminished or gone. When in reality, the job is the only true survivor regardless of which minority it uses to be successful. Don't get so comfortable at your job that you believe it will not change either for good or bad. The best thing to do is get as much out of it as you can while you are there, put up for a rainy day and keep it moving.

Great advice. It's always good to have your eye on the next step. The biggest mistake you can make is thinking any given job is the be all and end all. Not that you can't ever like your job, just don't get comfortable and always have a plan. Thanks.
