Help, I'm in the same boat

So I am in the same boat as many. I taught for 14 years and had to get out before I lost my mind, so to speak. I have 3 college degrees, 30 years experience, and I get all the time " you don't meet out experience" or some BS like that. I am almost 50 and can't even get an interview for a bartender or administrative assistant. Even though I did their job 20 years ago and could run circles around them. I am trying to get my son through college and yes I have tried everything you could think of. I have my license in real estate but can't afford the fees. I am bankruptcy phase, luckily my family is helping but makes me feel beyond helpless. No idea what else to do.

I went to my school the other day, and spent some time with the career people. She told me the big problem was my resume. I suspect it is your problem as well.

Hi John! Thanks so much for sharing with the community. At this point, it may seem like your experience is holding you back, but there are steps you can take to make your experience work for you. Making several resumés that are tailored to different jobs and industries can help you both cast a wide job-seeking net while targeting specific jobs that you have a particular interest in. Take a look at your current resumé and Jobcase profile to locate some keywords and trends that can point you in the direction of several different industries. I noticed the keyword "Project Management" in your Jobcase profile and took the liberty of searching for Project Management jobs in your area. You can find the results of that search here: (http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search?q=Project+Management&l=Dallas%2C+TX&r=25&ex=1&group=&sources%5B%5D=CB&sources%5B%5D=ID&sources%5B%5D=GD&sources%5B%5D=JC). I hope this helps you get started!
